Jake and Krystal were originally going to get married at the Picnic House in Brooklyn just a few days after NYC shut down due to COVID. They decided to reschedule their wedding for October 2020. However, when it looked unlikely venues would open by then, the couple made the decision to tie the knot sooner rather than later. So, Jake and Krystal decided on an August micro wedding in Brooklyn’s Prospect Park with twenty-five guests.
For Jake and Krystal, keeping their family and guests safe was of the utmost importance. Many of their guests for their original wedding were flying in and many of them were older. So, they decided a smaller wedding would be best. However, with both being busy lawyers, they knew they didn’t have the time or energy to bring their micro wedding together in just fourteen days. So, they called on us to finalize the details! We love being able to help create the perfect day, even if it’s just in two weeks! Our resource of NYC vendors was able to jump in and make this tight timeline work.
Jake and Krystal love taking strolls in the park, and they live near it too. So, they knew it was the perfect place to solidify their nuptials. The couple decided to use neutral whites, peach, and ivory for their simple décor. Instead of actual seating for guests, they decided to make it picnic style with blankets and beautiful throw pillows to complement their favorite colors of gray, light yellow, and blues. I love it when couples go a little unconventional! Guests loved the picnic-style and were really able to relax and enjoy the afternoon. As Krystal and Jake entered Prospect Park, Hudson Horns started to play their favorite song. It was a great surprise from the groom! Each guest also got a wonderful picnic box with an assortment of desserts, appetizers, and light bites. They were so delicious!
It was so great to work with Jake and Krystal. It was wonderful to see them be able to safely tie the knot and enjoy their big day. For couples who just can’t wait, our micro wedding package is perfect. It includes up to twenty-five guests and includes florals, rentals, photography, hair/makeup, and design with our professional and established vendor team. I would love for you to reach out, so we can get started!
